It feels good even missing me, he croons. That's sweet, isn't it? It puts me in mind of a hypothetical couple at my work that I am silently cheering on. It's like having a secret crush, except that it's a secret matchmaker crush; their names are Vance and Viola (isn't that the cutest?) They are a conventially unlikely but deceptively compatible couple, in that she's got a rather casual style, while he's preppy-dapper; she's tall and twitchy, while he's short and zippy, and about 7 years younger than she is; she's very friendly and approachable, and he's got young girls hanging off him all the time. They are on the same intra-company team, and spend a lot of time looking at each other's computers instead of their own, while engaging in suggestive body language; she tends to lean over him, and he peers up at her trustingly. However, one of my sources informed me that she has a live-in boyfriend of some sort. Also, she is currently on vacation for 2 weeks, and I have dispatched a deputy to sniff out how much Vance misses her. She's apparently going to email Vance to remind him to keep track of something. It's important that he not console himself in her absence with any of the random young women orbiting around him. It's bad enough I have to somehow pry this live-in guy out of her life.
