I have been pining away for Newhart for some time now....bringing it up randomly to friends, searching fruitlessly for it in my channel guide. Then, last weekend, while at NotSoSecret's house, we were watching the retro sitcom channel, and again I brought it up, wishing aloud that I might be able to watch Newhart, or WKRP, or any other number of shows that I couldn't actually name at the time AND THEN within seconds there came an announcement on the television that the channel we were watching was undergoing a format change to become Comedy Gold, and presenting such shows as Newhart! (check) the Bob Newhart Show !(right on) Murphy Brown! (oh, yeah!) Designing Women (sure) Full House (not necessary, although at work recently we got a t shirt featuring Jesse and the Rippers, which we all proceeded to fight over). WKRP is still pending.
